Laburnum x watereri ‘Vossii’ or more commonly known as Golden Chain is a magnificent and bright tree that is the most popular hybrid of Laburnum which was bred in Holland in the 1880s.

During the Spring, Golden Chain can be seen with long, bright yellow flowers which hang from it’s branches right through to June. These flowers create a beautiful display during those bright spring days and will attract wildlife, especially bees by their scent. During the Spring and Summer, a bright green foliage can be found on the tree which contrast very well with the flowers during the spring and continue to give Golden Chain a beautiful display throughout summer. Laburnum will grow in a rounded shape at around 4-5 metres in height which is a perfect size for any small garden.

Golden Chain will perform best when places in a very sunny position with some fertile, well-drained soil. Able to tolerate cold and chalk well.
